This unit ONLY works with the original BMW X5 with NBT system.

Check 3 features of NBT:

1. a 6-pin LVDS port at the rear of original head unit.
2. a "MEDlA" button on the idrive controller or a touch pad idrive controller.

 

NOTE: The OEM system interface does not sure that you have the NBT system. Please kindly check these 3 features all together!

Retains the iDrive system control to allow ease of access to the full range of functions and navigation of the original system.

Retains the original fiber optic sound system, e.g., your Harman Kardon.

Backup Camera Display

The OEM factory cameras, parking radar sensors, and dynamic trajectory parking lines are all supported and displayed on the large touchscreen. If you do not have the OEM camera you can add and install an aftermarket AHD 720P backup camera. When you put your car into reverse the backup camera will automatically be displayed on the screen.v

 

Original CD Player Retained

Now without uninstalling your CD player. Keep the fun of CD music disks.

When you touch the screen, you could operate the CarPlay or Android Auto functions.
